about Ron Ramsey: Hailing from the Berkshires, Ron Ramsay is a distinguished singer, pianist, organist, music director, actor, dancer, and educator with a remarkable career spanning over five decades. At just 8 years old, he began singing at various churches, music venues and acting in both amateur & professional theaters, leading him to the prestigious Dallas High School of the Performing Arts and SMU. Ron would return to the Berkshires briefly and create Dinner Theater at the Mansion and the Stockbridge Cabaret with stars of the NY Cabaret scene. In 1988, he embarked on an international tour of Russia with the groundbreaking musical Hair, serving as both Music Director and with a cameo in drag as Margaret Mead, bringing down the house every night.

Ron attended the Manhattan School of Music and made Manhattan his home for thirty years. He made his mark, gracing Broadway stages, celebrated concert halls and, most notably, in the highly competitive and intimate world of cabaret - an art form he discovered and learned in his teenage years from Berkshire legend and hostess Stephanie Barber (Music Inn & Wheatleigh) who was in a pinch to find someone to play for her act. She took him under her tutelage and they formed a lifelong friendship.  Ron is the founder of Studio100, providing private lessons and coaching in piano, voice and acting. He also serves as the Music Director at St. Ann Church in Lenox. www.ronramsay.com
