The event boasts a total creative takeover of the three rooms of Dottie's for the evening with an East African inspired food fest beginning at 6p in the bar/dining room for a reserved $55 ticket that includes one tap-dancer themed cocktail (for ex: The Lemon Ginger Rogers), UV-sensitive-glow body painting by an artist on site, and entry to the danblack light dance party . 8p in the center space, a black light dance party for a $20 donation. Dance till 11p to the eclectic afro-pop infused spinning of DJ Jason Manatee from The BeatNest. Walk through into the coffee lounge for live silk screening of the fresh new They Dance For Rain graphic designs by artist Eric Drury. Bring your own clothing for printing that will pop or grab one of their pre-printed upcycled threads.

They Dance For Rain is a collaborative and cross-cultural dance-making project taking place in Nairobi, Kenya founded and directed by Pittsfield native and action-based dance artist Stefanie Weber (Tourmaline Z). Since 2012, Weber has successfully partnered with many artists and groups with a shared interest in the value of expanding access to Tap Dance for all.
